Growing with a startup

I joined BeAmbassador developing the mobile application with React Native. Working at a startup led me to take on broader responsibilities: alongside building the app, I became involved in the web, API and database, eventually leading the development team.

Over these three years, my work has covered technical implementation, team organisation and product delivery.

Features and integrations

My work includes a real-time chat using SignalR and React Native, a push notification system with OneSignal and gamification with level-based progression. I have used Redux for state management and worked in Node.js environments with TypeScript or JavaScript, as well as SQL, .NET, C# and Postman for backend work.

Managing the team and the process

I have been responsible for coordinating the development team and organising work with Jira and weekly iterations. This includes translating product needs into tasks, tracking progress and coordinating deliveries for each iteration.

I have also worked on defining and applying Git protocols to organise collaboration on the codebase. Team management and working practices have been part of my responsibility alongside feature development.

Connecting the layers of the product

Mobile was my starting point, but my scope grew to include the web, API and database. Working across these layers has allowed me to approach features with their full journey in mind, from the interface to the data they need.

From development to publication

I have also been responsible for publishing the application on Google Play for Android and the App Store for iOS, handling delivery to both marketplaces.

My involvement has spanned every phase of production: organising the work, design, development, testing, preparing releases and publishing them. This experience brings together code, team coordination and responsibility for getting the app into users’ hands.
