About me
Jonay
Méndez Márquez
Tenerife, 2001 · Santa Úrsula
I hold a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of La Laguna. I combine my profession with literature, which has been part of my life since childhood. I discovered the joy of reading at an early age and, in secondary school, my passion for writing. In my stories, I seek a space for imagination, refuge, and expression.

My journey
The lives I imagined
From Apocalym’s bloody rebellion to Botero’s dusty bar. These are the stories that have been with me since that first summer. Some have been published and others are still tucked away in a drawer, but they have all been part of my learning journey.

Apocalym
Unpublished trilogy
I began writing with "The Trilogy", an exciting story of science fiction and fantasy. Global revolutions, endless wars, brothers, friends, betrayals... With these characters I took my first steps, and I stumbled, but I also learned. Will it ever see the light of day? Who knows.

Sangre Muda
Self-published on Amazon
I wrote Sangre Muda during my final year of secondary school. I moved on from those early adventures to explore psychological suspense and crime fiction. I later self-published it on Amazon.

IZOM
Self-published with Círculo Rojo
At university, I embarked on Zahafaria, an ambitious project built around creating a fictional universe: a world that could serve as a setting for role-playing games, board games, or novels. The IZOM saga grew out of it. I wrote two instalments and went on to publish the first. The project is on hold for now.

Medias mesas
Completed novel
On the night of 1 January 2022, I lay awake with a new idea for a novel: I would write a story about loneliness. Five years later, Medias mesas is about companionship. Now that I have finally finished writing it, it is time to revise it and bring it to readers.
